D EI Ed is a professional course that prepares the candidate to become teachers of primary and upper primary classes in the schools.
The course of D.EL.ED started at Dixit Colleges Of Higher Education in the year 2017 and is divided into 4-semesters, coupled with an internship at the end of each semester.
The main aim of the course is to cover theoretical knowledge and basic skills development in order to provide the teachers education in terms of effective teaching practices and modern classroom trends.
The course can be outlined around the aspects of Child Development and Learning, Curriculum and Pedagogy, Regional Language, English Language Teaching, Environmental Science Teaching, Mathematics Teaching, Art Education, Physical Education, Social Science Teaching and General Science Education.
On completing the D.El.Ed , candidates can apply in Private schools, Government schools, nursery, Daycare centres, online educators, Coaching centres and Private tuition classes. They can take up jobs as a junior teacher, content writer and/or reviewer, librarian, record keeper, education counsellor.
Candidates who have completed the D.El.Ed can further pursue the Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) course and undertake a full-time teaching job and can also apply in State government jobs. The admission is conducted through a merit list, generated by the state.
