College Campus
Situated on the outskirts of the city, the campus is spread across a vast area of 25 acres housing all the state-of-art facilities.
It is well known how hot it gets in summers and equally freezing in winters. Thus, the campus is designed and constructed keeping in mind the practicality and the comfort of the faculty and the students.
With ample natural light and ventilation in the buildings, the campus has lush green fields surrounded by a variety of trees and plants.
The institute has well-built individual academic complexes with modern facilities in each department.
The campus is provided with diverse features like innovative labs, libraries, convention halls, outdoor sports facilities, canteens, an uninterrupted power supply, well-equipped classrooms, and much more.
Academic Blocks -
At the Dixit group of colleges, one of the striking infrastructural features is that there are exclusively dedicated buildings to each of the disciplines for the various courses being offered at the college.
The reason behind separate blocks is to fortify each block with amenities that could create a perfect ambiance for the different studies and research required by each of these courses.
The campus mainly has three academic blocks -
- DIXIT COLLEGE OF LAW - Dedicated to the LL.B course.
- Dixit Colleges Of Higher Education - A multi-disciplinary block dedicated to Art, Science, Commerce, Management, Education and Social work.
- DIXIT COLLEGE OF PHARMACY & RESEARCH - Dedicated to Pharmacy courses like B.Pharm and D.Pharm.
Laboratories
Theory without practice is as incomplete as practice without theory. In a way, both reinforce each other, and a good institution gives its students exposure to both.
Hence, our institute is well-decorated with multi-disciplinary research labs and workstations to give enriching lab experience.
All labs are supervised by an additional lab support staff that is responsible for creating a risk-free learning space for the students.
All three academic blocks are fortified with their respective laboratories -
Moot court in the school of law -
Moot courts are essential for law students as it helps with their confidence, legal research and oratory skills.
Moot court is a mock court, in which fictional cases are argued upon. It provides a court-like environment to the students to enhance their legal exposure before dealing with real-world cases.
Pharmacy Research Labs -
Our pharmacy course has state-of-art laboratories with modern types of equipment that help students to learn about various drug formulation, analysis, and identification.
The labs also provide hands-on experience on various subject matters like pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, human anatomy, hospital, and clinical pharmacy, biochemistry, clinical pathology, to name a few.
In addition to these, the pharmacy department also facilitates computer Labs, instrumentation rooms, and machine rooms.
Science Labs -
Under this umbrella, we have four labs catered to the students of Bachelor of Science - Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, & Botany.
As Science is a highly practical subject, students learn about the theoretical principles and experimental findings that govern the complexities of the various scientific disciplines in our laboratories.
The research-based learning about life sciences, chemical and physical biology, material and organic chemistry, instrumentation, and statistical findings, forms a well-fortified foundation of science.
All experiments are performed under laboratory technicians who instruct students about the lab safety procedures.
Studios and arts labs -
Our Graduates and undergraduates of Arts also get practical experience in their respective subjects.
For fine arts, we have dedicated art rooms and laboratories for drawing and painting.
For The Scholars of music, the music labs/studios are present for the students to practice better.
The workstation and laboratories for Home Science students are also provided to get hands-on Experience of the theory that they learn in classrooms.
For the Bachelors of education, i.e. B.Ed there is a language lab, ICT and et resource center, psychology resource center, science and mathematics lab, art and craft lab, health and physical resource center.
Sports facilities and social outreach -
Healthy bodies promote healthier minds and what is a better way to unwind after the academic hard work and make some friends!
Therefore, we promote various indoor and outdoor activities. Our students often partake actively in inter-college sports tournaments.
Not only regular sports, but our students also participate in NCC training organized at the college.
The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters in New Delhi. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges, and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. Students are trained in drills, parades, small arms training, general awareness lectures, physical training, etc under NCC.
Library -
A good library provides an appropriate reading space to the students.
Our campus has a central library that accommodates special volumes of books, journals, and other updated literary resources for all the courses offered here.
With ample comfortable seating space and high-quality reference materials, we make sure that our library serves as a quiet place to read and write.
Apart from the textbooks, we are also invested in e-Learning and thus provide access to the necessary online resources and e-books.
ICT Resources -
The widespread use of information and computer technology in education has opened new doors for the students and the faculty.
The infusion of internet-based learning has shown a positive impact on the students. Thus our campus is completely enabled by technology. The administrative block and the academic blocks are configured with the latest technologies like WiFi, CCTV cameras, biometric systems, computer systems, video lectures, scanners, copiers, sound systems, etc.
The learning spaces are furnished with audio-visual tools, projectors, and e-libraries to facilitate better presentations and conceptual understanding. There are dedicated computer rooms for faculty and students with all the required open software and licenses.
Cafeteria -
College canteens and food courts are often the most happening places on campus. From the random gossips to celebratory treats, all happens here.
All standards of safety, hygiene, and taste are maintained at our cafeteria. We aim to serve fresh, unadulterated quality food whose ingredients are often obtained from local markets selling fresh produce. The prices are subsidized to make the prices very student-friendly.
Transport -
We understand that not everyone can arrange for a private conveyance or can depend on unreliable public transport.
To ensure every student’s safety and logistical comfort, we operate a fleet of buses that pick up and drop students to and from all the neighboring towns and villages.
The buses operate timely for all our students and our staff, ensuring minimum traveling pain points.
